Grisly discovery - Joliet man found shot to death in car

A Joliet man was found shot to death in the front seat of a car Saturday night.

The Will County Coroner’s Office identified the slain man as Todd Taylor, 42.

The man identified as Taylor died in the car on Oscar Avenue between Gardner and Greenlawn streets shortly after 9 p.m., according to a statement released Sunday by the Will County Sheriff’s Office.

Taylor had been shot multiple times, the statement from the sheriff’s office said.

An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday, according to the coroner’s office.
