Providence rolls past Thorton Fractional North 65-42 in the Class 3A Hillcrest Sectional semifinal. Providence will face host Hillcrest Thursday for the sectional title.

Maeve Savage was a sophomore starter two years ago on Hinsdale South's team that was fourth in Class 3A, the best team in school history. The Hornets took a step back last year, but on Friday Savage had 19 points and 15 rebounds to lead them past Lemont 34-29 to a regional title.

Metamora's girls basketball team outscored Morris 22-3 in the second quarter and cruised to a 62-28 win in the Class 3A Metamora Regional title game on Friday night.
