Lockport HS to host Veterans Appreciation Night on Friday

Lockport Township High School will honor all veterans on Friday night before the basketball games at the Lockport High School East Campus gymnasium.

Veterans and their familiy members should arrive by 5:30 p.m. Veterans will then be escorted to a meeting area. Facemasks are required.

At 6:10 p.m., veterans will enter the gymnasium and be escorted on the court, where each veteran will recognized individually. They may also participate in holding the flag, which will be unfurled on the court, for the National Anthem.

All veterans who register and attend will receive a commemorative T-shirt. After the ceremony, veterans and their families or friends may stay for the basketball game as the guests of the high school. Lockport will play Sandburg High School after the veterans celebration.
