Troy students recognized for effort, citizenship, attitude and participation

Shorewood Lions Club honors students at William B. Orenic Intermediate School and Troy Middle School

Shorewood Lions Club recently recognized Troy students as Students of the Month for September, October, November and December.

Students were selected on the basis of consistent effort, productive citizenship, positive attitude and participation in class.

The Troy Community School District 30-C school board recognized the Shorewood Lions Club 2020 September and October Students of the Month at the district’s November school board meeting and the November and December 2020 Students of the Month at the school district’s recent school board meetings.

The William B. Orenic Intermediate School September Students of the Month are sixth-graders Natalie Blenck, Leah Blunk, Kiley Gregory and Adam Hussein.

October Students of the Month are sixth-graders Edward Fabrizio, Layla McKinney, Ronak Verma and Tabitha Witthouse.

November Students of the Month are Casey Koerner, Aiden Machalski, Everly Martin and Joanna Swearengen.

December Students of the Month are Joseph Ferreti-Raucci, Aubrey Prosek, Kayli Rieuf and Declan Turner.

The Troy Middle School seventh grade September Students of the Month are Harmony Amegashie, Halle Berk, Sarah Hiller and Gracie Mitchell.

Troy Middle School eighth grade September Students of the Month are Ricky Betancourt, Addison Fowler-Favale, Leah Nordquist and Carson Weber.

Troy Middle School seventh grade October Students of the Month are Malorie Berry, John Ferak, Morgan Konieczny and Niko Martinez.

Eighth grade October Students of the Month are Jessica Cole, Evan Motley, Gabriel Orth and Isabelle Valadez.

The Troy Middle School seventh-grade November Students of the Month are Ellie Hansen, Sean Hogan, Hanna Kulikowski and Michayla Rhymes.

December Students of the Month are Lindsey Alcantar, Maddex Gourley, Patrick Holmes and Noah Tarver.

Troy Middle School. eighth grade November Students of the Month are Nevayah McCullum, Keya Patel, Ana Turi and Kayla Washington.

December Students of the Month are Xavier Borgic, Everett Mancke, Nadia Nikho and Jacob O’Rourke.

In addition to receiving certificates as Students of the Month, the students received $10 Amazon gift cards from the Shorewood Lions Club.

The Shorewood Lions Club helps needy persons in Troy Township who have sight or hearing problem get glasses, hearing aids and other related equipment, including seeing eye dogs. They also help sight- or hearing-impaired children sign up for Camp Lions in the summer.
