5 Things to Do in Will County: Visit the past with the Blues Brothers and Napoleon Dynamite

1) Come see the original Blues Brothers movie at the location where parts of it were filmed. The movie will be shown on a giant 50-foot screen at 5 p.m. Friday at the Old Joliet Prison, located at 1125 Collins St. in Joliet. Other features of the night include self-guided tours, Blues Brothers presentation and photo ops, Bluesmobile cars, food concessions, beverage/beer tents, merchandise tents and raffles. 2) At 7:30 p.m. Friday, the Rialto Square Theatre at 102 N. Chicago St. in Joliet is hosting full screening of the classic indie film “Napoleon Dynamite” followed by a moderated discussion with cast members Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Efren Ramirez (Pedro) and Jon Gries (Uncle Rico). 3) The Friends of Mokena Library will host a fall book sale from noon to 5 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Mokena Public Library, located at 11327 W 195th St. in Mokena. Items for sale include books (many priced at $1) of all kinds, including audio books and first edition hardcovers, as well as puzzles, games, DVDs and CDs. 4) Big Run Wolf Ranch will host Wild Fest Fall 2021 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the ranch, located at 14857 Farrell Road in Lockport. The family friendly, one-day event features wild and exotic animals, shows and demonstrations from presenters and exhibitors, photo and petting ops and vendors and concessions. 5) The first Miss Joliet PrideFest Pageant will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park Theatre, located at 201 W. Jefferson St. in Joliet.
