The National Weather Service on Tuesday night issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northern Will County

The warning is in effect until 9 p.m.

Residents around the Joliet area, including Lockport and Crest Hill, should look out for large size hail and hail damage and wind speeds gusting up to 60 mph, the NWS said.
