Mother McAuley defeated St. Charles East in the Class 4A State semifinal volleyball game on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 at Redbird Arena in Normal.

Hailey Markworth scored a game-high 19 points, Izzy Lee added a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and top-seeded Lyons rolled past Mother McAuley 58-37 and into Thursday's sectional final.

In a matchup of two of the state's powerhouse programs on Wednesday in Lisle, Benet rallied past Mother McAuley 22-25, 25-22, 25-13.
