The League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area will host a nonpartisan candidate forums for Illinois House District 52, which pits incumbent Republican state Rep. Martin McLaughlin against Democratic challenger Mary Morgan.

Asked what a top issue was for the 52nd District, Illinois State House candidate Mary Morgan said "Finances are tight for a lot of people. I want to work to bring a larger share of tax dollars back to our neighborhoods to avoid local tax increases."
