Morrison Community Hospital recognized for patient satisfaction and outpatient quality

MORRISON – The Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network presented Morrison Community Hospital, 303 N. Jackson St., with two awards for quality Nov. 18 at the I-Hotel and Conference Center in Champaign.

The awards were for outpatient quality and responses to a survey of the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems guidelines.

The latter HCAHPS survey is completed by a random sampling of hospital patients within 42 days of their being discharged. It covers a range of patient experiences, including communication with doctors and nurses, staff responsiveness, information on medicines, cleanliness of the facility and transition to post-hospital care.

“We are very proud of our team for achieving this level of excellence in health quality,” said Pam Pfister, CEO of Morrison Community Hospital. “This is truly a team effort that recognizes our dedication to delivering a health care experience of which our patients and staff can be proud.”
