Down on the Farm: Sterling High School Farmapalooza introduces grade-schoolers to ag life

Vada, a 20-year-old horse owned by Tynlee Williams of Sterling, gets head scratches Thursday, May 7, 2026, during Sterling High School’s Farmapalooza. The FFA-sponsored event brings in students and members of the public to introduce Sterling’s grade school students to agriculture life.

The 10th Sterling High School FFA Farmapalooza introduced almost 2,000 grade-schoolers to jobs, animals and gear related to agriculture Thursday. Live and taxidermied animals were on display along with tractors and plant life.
