Letter: Why do Illinois voters continue to re-elect politicians who create massive government debt?

keyboard

Talk about gall: many politicians are calling for tax increases to reduce the pension fund debt for public workers are same ones responsible for diverting tax dollars intended to fund the pensions. It seems as if in Illinois we are so used to waste and corruption.

I say no to any tax increases to shore up the pension funds for public workers. Let the local and state governments that have diverted funding from public worker pension funds cut the waste and corruption before they ask taxpayers to again fund the pension fund debt.

Why do Illinois voters continue to re-elect the same politicians for the massive debt in local and state government?
