No injuries in rollover crash near Crystal Lake

Neither drug or alcohol were suspected as contributing factors to the crash, the sheriff’s office said

CRYSTAL LAKE — No injuries were reported after a minivan driven by a 17-year-old boy left the roadway while westbound on Edgewood Road near Crystal Lake just after 8 a.m. Thursday, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said.

The vehicle struck a utility pole and ComEd staff were called to the scene to fix.

Neither drug or alcohol use were suspected as contributing factors to the crash, the sheriff’s office said.

It is unknown what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and no citations had been issued as of Friday morning, the sheriff’s office said.
