Huntley native part of U.S. Navy mission to build high-quality construction projects across Indo-Pacific region

Utilitiesman 2nd Class Brandon Kimpel, a Huntley native assigned to U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3’s Detail Sasebo, uses a concrete float to smooth freshly placed concrete for a pedestal for the construction of one of two pre-engineered buildings being constructed for Naval Beach Unit 7 at Yokose Naval Base, Japan. The battalion Kimpel is assigned to is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection. The battalion stands ready to support Major Combat Operations throughout the area of responsibility.
