Crystal Lake engineering firm appoints new vice president of transportation

Jason Fluhr has 20 years of experience in project management for transportation programs

Crystal Lake-based engineering firm Baxter and Woodman has promoted Jason J. Fluhr as its new vice president of transportation.

The firm, which employees more than 330 people, provides engineering consulting to local governments, state agencies and wastewater services throughout Illinois, Florida, Wisconsin and Texas, according to its website.

Fluhr works out of Baxter’s Crystal Lake office. In his new role, he will oversee transportation design management for the firm’s Midwest region, the company said in a news release.

“Jason is a recognized leader in transportation,” Baxter Chief Operating Officer Lou Haussmann said in the release. “He continually encourages his team to identify innovative solutions that provide benefits for our transportation design and construction projects. His extensive experience combined with his strong understanding of clients’ needs earned him this leadership role in the firm.”
