Man found dead in Woodstock homeless encampment is ID’d

A man was found dead in a homeless encampment in Woodstock.

The McHenry County Coroner’s Office identified the man Monday as Adam Feltner, 51, and said he was discovered deceased at a homeless encampment near the intersection of Route 47 and Irving Avenue in Woodstock.

The coroner’s office said it was called to the scene by Woodstock Police about 4:30 p.m. April 8.

The coroner’s office said Feltner’s death “was ruled a natural death, and no autopsy was performed.”
