The three latest $100,000 winners in the state’s vaccine lottery were announced Monday afternoon.
Winners of $100,000 apiece were vaccinated residents from Chicago, Quincy and Springfield. Illinoisans from those cities and counties should keep their phones on and check their emails regularly to find out if they’ve won.
Last Thursday, the first million-dollar winner, who was from Chicago, was chosen, and three $150,000 scholarship winners were picked in DeKalb County, suburban Cook County and Chicago. The state will celebrate the winners and announce their names Friday unless they choose to remain anonymous.
The vaccine lottery was announced by Gov. JB Pritzker’s office as a way to encourage Illinoisans who haven’t already to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
