Peru garbage, recycling pickup will be delayed for the rest of the week

The city of Peru released an announcement Tuesday that Republic Waste Services will delay garbage and recycling pickup by one day because of COVID-related labor challenges effective Wednesday, Jan. 19.

Pickups scheduled for Wednesday will be picked up on Thursday. Thursday pickups will take place on Friday and normal Friday pickups will take place on Saturday.

The city of Peru and Republic Waste Services apologized for the inconvenience.
