Mendota man charged on complaints of battery, resisting arrest

A 22-year-old Mendota man was arrested Saturday morning after causing a disturbance at a Peru tavern.

Myron T. Lesley was arrested on complaints of battery, felony resisting arrest and criminal damage to property after damaging property inside the tavern. Peru police were called shortly after 1:30 a.m. to the rear of Spike’s Tavern, 1803 Fourth St.

Jacquis A. Biederstedt, 20, of Morris, also was cited on a complaint of obstructing an officer following the incident, Peru police said.
