Utica to hear blasting update at Wednesday meeting

Meeting moved to Wednesday from regular date

A new sign reads North Utica Village Hall and Community Center in Utica on Wednesday Nov. 9, 2021. The Village purchased the former Waltham South School building last year and converted it into offices, meeting rooms and a community center. The building is about ninety percent complete and will be open officially at the beginning of 2022.

Representatives from LaFarge are scheduled to appear at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the Utica Village Board meeting at 248 Canal St. to follow up on blasting complaints from village residents.

The village board typically meets the second Thursday of the month but moved its April meeting to Wednesday because of Easter observances beginning Thursday.
