5 Illinois Valley area students receive honors at Lincoln College

List includes 2 with perfect grade point averages

Five Illinois Valley area students have been named to honors lists for the spring 2021 semester in Lincoln College’s Accelerated Bridge to Education program at Oglesby.

The list includes two students who received special honors for a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

They include: Sylvia Escatel, of Spring Valley, and Samuel Stortz, of Streator.

Two area students were named to the president’s list. President’s list students are recognized for a grade point average of 3.75 to 3.99.

They include: Joshua Gualandri, of La Salle, and Kennedy Hunt, of Princeton.

One area student, Marissa Muffler, of Ottawa, was named to the dean’s list. Dean’s list students are recognized for a grade point average of 3.25 to 3.74.

The Accelerated Bridge to Education program is geared toward adult learners and is offered in Oglesby on the campus of Illinois Valley Community College.

Students attend class one night a week supplemented by online learning for five weeks. Multiple start dates are offered during the year, giving adult students greater flexibility to balance their class load with their work and personal schedules.
