Person involved in Interstate 80 crash in Grundy County hospitalized with life-threatening injuries

Another was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries, state police said

An individual was taken to a hospital for life-threatening injuries and a second person was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a two-unit commercial motor vehicle crash Friday morning on Interstate 80 westbound near mile marker 110 in Grundy County, according to Illinois State Police.

At about 6:57 a.m., all lanes of Interstate 80 were closed for the crash investigation. At about 9:55 a.m. eastbound lanes were opened and at 1:30 p.m. all lanes were reopened. The Illinois State Police released no further information as of Friday.
