Residents rescued from Wenona fire Sunday morning

Residents were woke up by Wenona firefighters

Two Wenona residents were rescued from a fire Sunday morning on the 100 block of Hickory Street.

The residents were asleep and firefighters woke them to get out of the home, along with their dogs. The home was significantly damaged and is not livable at this time.

Along with Wenona firefighters, Toluca-Rutland, Lostant, Minonk, Varna, Magnolia, Dana and Evans Township firefighters responded. Ambulances from Minonk, Eastern Marshall County, as well as the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded.
