La Salle County Retired Teachers Association hosts meeting in Utica

The La Salle County Retired Teachers Association will have a general membership meeting 10 a.m. Monday at Danny Carey Memorial Park in Utica.

A short business meeting will include introduction of the board, Bucks for Books drawing and three speakers. Retired La Salle County Sheriff Tom Templeton will talk about the latest scams, Krissy Darm will inform on the retiree certification and JoEllen Fiorentini will give tips and advice for fall gardens.

Coffee, doughnuts, water and door prizes will be provided.

Those attending are advised to bring a lawn chair and a friend, and reservations should be emailed to Pauline Cashman at deanc@mtco.com.
