The following events are scheduled for the week of Sept. 20 at Reddick Library, 1010 Canal St., Ottawa. Call 815-434-0509 for more information.

1 to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20: Mystery Monday Book Club (adults). “The Long Call,” by Ann Cleeves will be discussed at this librarian-run book club. New members are always welcome. Copies of the book will be available for check out.

10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21: Ready, Set, Read! (ages 3-6). A fun story time designed to help children develop literacy skills and prepare for school. Because of the COVID-19 virus and the Community Room’s limited capacity, registration is required for this program and begins the Friday before the program at 9 a.m. and closes the morning of the program at 9 a.m.

5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21: Design Your Own Board Game with Dan Laib. Back by popular demand is Dan Laib. At this workshop Laib will help you accomplish the steps to make your own board game.

10 and 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22: Shake, Rattle, Read! (6-36 months). A fun, musical story time. Because of the COVID-19 virus and the Community Room’s limited capacity, registration is required for this program and begins the Friday before the program at 9 a.m. and closes the morning of the program at 9 a.m.

1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23: Chair Yoga. Chair yoga exercise classes are back. Everyone is welcome to join Yoga Instructor Dianne Nudo Mostek for free yoga sessions incorporating gentle chair-based poses.

4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23: Reverse Scavenger Hunt. What’s a reverse scavenger hunt? Join the library and find out, and then explore and create with the items you’ve collected.

1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25: Loop Group (adults). Learn to knit and crochet in a fun environment from knowledgeable people.
