Children on Ottawa’s east side soon will have new playground equipment to test out after the Ottawa City Council approved a $49,528 purchase from NuToys Leisure Products.
Commissioner Marla Rodriguez said the city has had so much going on at the other parks the updates to Eastside Park have gone under the radar.
“Everyone knows we’ve been working on Thornton Park but we started redoing Eastside Park last fall and it’s been a little bit of a long road but we’re just about finished,” Rodriguez said. “There’s zip lines and the new equipment is amazing.”
Rodriguez said there’s still one section that’s not open but the zip line are open and children have already been playing on it — and “absolutely loving it.”
