La Salle, Bureau, Putnam and Livingston counties are included in a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service in Chicago.
Potential storms pack a threat of producing tornadoes, 75 mph wind gusts or isolated hail, according to the advisory.

Heavy storms produced strong winds and some tornadoes in Wisconsin and into northern Illinois Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
With humid conditions, the high temperature is expected to climb into 90 degrees Thursday in Ottawa, according to AccuWeather.
