Photos: All smiles at Streator’s Fourth of July celebration

Lita Ford performance attracts about 4,000 people to Northpoint Plaza

The carnival opened to crowds Thursday, July 9, 2021, at Northpoint Plaza during Streator’s Fourth of July celebration. The shopping center’s parking lot was overfilled as both patrons of the carnival and attendees to Thursday’s musical performances turned out. Lita Ford, of The Runaways fame, and Enuff Z’nuff headlined Thursday’s live music as organizers estimated 4,000 people were in attendance, not counting the carnival area, to see the shows.
