Child Tax Credit payments start July 15

Qualifying parents will receive monthly payments July 15 through Dec. 15

The American Rescue Plan increased the amount of the 2021 Child Tax Credit up to $300/month per child under age 6 and up to $250/month for each child age 6 to 17 to support families with children.

How to get your money: You don’t need to do anything if you have filed taxes in the past 2 years or if you used the IRS “Non-Filer Portal” to get a stimulus check last year.

If you didn’t file taxes in the past two years, fill out a simple form to begin receiving monthly Child Tax Credit payments by going to childtaxcredit.gov
