The Ottawa Elementary School Board entered its new session following the April 6 election two members shy of the full seven.
The board conducted a special meeting Monday where members discussed the resumes of five applicants. Two candidates have been selected and will be appointed at the 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, board meeting.
These vacancies opened after former Board President Kerry Bryson and Ron Henson opted not to run for re-election to the board. The new Board President is Brenden Donahue.
incumbents Maribeth Mangold and Mark Fisher ran for re-election and were seated to the board.
