Trivia fans can play online in Streator Zonta Club’s virtual contest

Fundraiser awarding $100 to first-place team

The Streator Zonta Club is planning a virtual trivia night at 7 p.m. March 26. John Riss of Streator will provide questions and serve as moderator.

Registration is required to participate. Players can sign up on the Zonta Club of Streator Facebook page at www.fb.com/streatorzonta or at forms.gle/e8N68fEq9RQAEc4JA. The cost to play is $10 per person with teams consisting of two to 10 individuals. Payment will be accepted through PayPal. The PayPal link is available on the registration form.

A link to the event will be sent to participants on a date closer to the trivia contest.

The first-place team will win a $100 prize, and the second-place team will win $50.

The virtual trivia night is one of Streator Zonta Club’s 2021 fundraisers. Zonta International is an organization with a mission to empower women worldwide through service and advocacy. The Streator chapter offers Young Women in Public Service scholarships to high school seniors at Streator and Woodland high schools, as well as a scholarship for women pursuing a STEM-field education at Illinois Valley Community College. The club also provides support for clients of Streator Unlimited, Streator Salvation Army and Safe Journeys. Streator Zonta serves a community meal one month each year and assists families in need around the holidays, among other initiatives and projects.
