The final suspect in a summer narcotics investigation into heroin and cocaine dealing in La Salle-Peru and Ottawa was arrested recently in Chicago.
Jalan Solomon, 21, of Chicago, was arrested Oct. 12 on a La Salle County Arrest warrant on charges of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance – heroin (a class X felony.)
Authorities said Solomon delivered heroin and cocaine on two occasions, totaling more than 160 grams of heroin and more than 20 grams of cocaine.
Jshree J. Lowery, 27, of Chicago, was arrested after authorities said he delivered more than 80 grams heroin to Tri-DENT agents on June 10. During this delivery, Tri-DENT agents, with the assistance of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a buy bust and arrested Lowery for the delivery in the 2800 block of Columbus Street in Ottawa. Lowery was held at the La Salle County Jail for on a charge of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance – heroin (a class X felony.)
An arrest warrant for Arsenio C. Harden, 32, of Chicago, also was issued in June 2021 on charges of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance – heroin/cocaine (a class X felony). Harden was arrested in Chicago.
Both Harden and Solomon had additional charges of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance added by the La Salle County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Lowery and Harden posted bond at a later date and were released; Solomon is held in the La Salle County Jail on a $1 million bond, with 10% needed for release.
