The Arts of Starved Rock Country Fund has opened its grant application period for arts-related programs and projects scheduled for the second half of the year.

Marseilles‘ Tourism and Park Committee hosted its annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 14. Parade participants lined up at the Marseilles Elementary School parking lot and marched along Broadway Street to Main Street, with participants dispersing at North Main Street.

The Illinois Valley Alzheimer’s Caring Friends Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, March 16 at the Peru Public Library.

The 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge for Special Olympics will be Thursday, March 19 at Serena Middle School.

St. Rose of Lima Society will host its annual pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 a.m. - noon on Palm Sunday, March 29 in St. Joseph Halle, Peru.

The Oglesby Knights of Columbus, 307 E. Florence St., will host a fish and shrimp fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 6.

The Oglesby American Legion will hold its monthly taco night from 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11.

Starved Rock State Park announced Thursday free events to be offered in March.
