Authorities said three Ottawa men were charged with mob action and aggravated battery following an investigation into an incident May 24 at Woodward Memorial Drive and Albin Stevens Drive.
Upon their arrival 10:54 p.m. May 24, Ottawa police said a boy had apparent injuries and a girl had been battered.
Two of the men charged were arrested and taken to the La Salle County Jail, but one remains at large.
Kyle Prince, 20; Fernando Martinez, 18; and Damien Kwit, 19, each have been charged with mob action, which is a class 4 felony, and aggravated battery, which is a class 3 felony. Kwit also was charged with an additional count of battery, Ottawa police said.
If found guilty of a class 3 felony, the trio faces a possible sentence of five to 10 years in prison.
Bond was set at $35,000 with 10% to apply for Prince and Martinez, while bond was set at $20,000 with 10% to apply for Kwit.
Prince and Kwit were taken into custody, but Fernando Martinez has not been arrested. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call the Ottawa Police Department at 815-433-2131.
