Ottawa firefighters extinguished a fire at an abandoned two-story building at 556 E. Joliet St. in Ottawa.
The structure, which resembles a garage, had been turned into apartments, but had no inhabitants at this time.
The call came in at about 3:30 p.m. Monday and firefighters had the flames knocked out in about five minutes, said Ottawa Deputy Fire Chief Brian Bressner. There were no injuries reported.
Bressner said the Ottawa Fire Department will conduct a full investigation of the fire and release more information Tuesday about it.
