A Bureau County man was taken to an Ottawa hospital following a crash Wednesday morning with a parked and unoccupied vehicle that pushed into an occupied vehicle stopped on the roadway.
La Salle County Sheriff’s deputies were informed 7:30 a.m. of a welfare check request on the man believed to be driving around La Salle County.
Shortly after, the man was observed by deputies in the area of Route 23 near North 17th Road, just north of Streator. Deputies attempted to stop him, and he drove away from officers, eventually crashing into the parked vehicle.
