Hiker suffers minor injuries at Matthiessen State Park

A 70-year-old woman was treated for injuries after a post-sunset hike Thursday at Matthiessen State Park.

Oglesby Fire Chief Ron Popurella said Saturday the woman was not ticketed, as the accident happened on trail.

Starved Rock Media, which first reported the accident, said first-responders were dispatched to the Dells area and that the woman complained of dizziness and wrist and arm pain.
