The La Salle-Peru volleyball team beat Morris 25-22, 25-18 in a Class 3A L-P Sectional semifinal Tuesday. L-P will play Washington in the sectional championship match Thursday.

The Newark girls volleyball team had its season end with a 25-21, 25-18 loss to Stockton in Tuesday's Class 1A Eastland Sectional semifinal in Lanark. The Norsemen closed the season with a 32-5 record.

L-P defeated Morris 15-22, 25-18 during the Class 3A Sectional semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025 in Sellett Gymnasium at L-P High School. The Lady Cavs will play Washington in the Sectional title game on Thursday at 6p.m. at L-P High School.

Trailing 22-20 and facing the end of its season, Morris scored the final five points of the match to pull out a 21-25, 25-9, 25-22 victory over Sterling in the Class 3A Sterling Regional final and earn its first regional title since 2015.

The Manteno girls volleyball team - led by junior Maddie Gesky - was solid throughout a 25-15, 25-21 victory over host Seneca in Thursday's Class 2A regional championship match. It's the first postseason title for the Panthers since 2017.

Wilmington's postseason came to an abrupt end when the Wildcats were upset by Pontiac in Thursday's Class 2A Herscher Regional championship.

Minooka claimed its second regional title in three years with a 25-12, 25-9 win over Bradley-Bourbonnais in Thursday's IHSA Class 4A Minooka Regional championship.

The Newark girls volleyball team bounced back after dropping the first set to defeat Serena 23-25, 25-23, 25-16 in Saturday's championship match of the 51st Little Ten Conference Tournament on Al Stegman Court at Serena High School.
