The Seneca girls volleyball team defeated Coal City 25-19, 27-25 to win the Class 2A Coal City Regional championship on Thursday night.
Dixon got off to a fast start, then rallied to finish strong in a 25-20, 25-22 win over Morris in the Class 3A Dixon Regional final on Thursday at Lancaster Gym. It's the Duchesses second regional title in the last 3 years on their home court.

Morris bounced back from an early deficit in the first set, then slowly built the lead in the second to defeat Sterling 25-21, 25-19 in their Class 3A Dixon Regional semifinal on Tuesday night at Lancaster Gym.
Sterling and Morris meet in the 3A regional semifinal Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024 in Dixon. Morris won in two sets and will take on Dixon for the regional title on Thursday.

The No. 2-seeded Henry-Senachwine girls volleyball defeated top-seed Seneca 25-17, 25-23 in Thursday's championship match of the Tri-County Conference Tournament at Bader Gymnasium in Ottawa.
Senior Adrianna Larsen had 13 kills and eight digs to help top-seeded Newark defeat No. 3-seeded Hinckley-Big Rock 25-16, 25-15 in Saturday's championship match of the 50th Little Ten Conference Tournament in Newark. It is the Norsemen's eighth consecutive championship.
