53rd District state Sen. Tom Bennet, R-Gibson City, will be having coffee and conversations with constituents from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Pontiac Family Kitchen, 903 W. Custer Ave., Pontiac.
It will be the final Coffee and Conversation as Bennett prepares for retirement, as he’ll be replaced by Republican Chris Balkema in the next term.
According to a Tuesday news release, Balkema will catch people up on what’s going on in Springfield and listen to their thoughts and answer their questions.
The event is free and open to everyone.
