KSO presents Winter Wonderland concert this weekend

The Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra (shown here in this April 2021 file photo) will host two Halloween concerts this October 2022, free and open to all ages.

DeKALB – The Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra invites the community to celebrate the season at the KSO’s Holiday Pops Concert: Winter Wonderland.

Concerts will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall in the Northern Illinois University Music Building.

Each concert performance will feature familiar favorites including “Winter” from “The Four Seasons” by Vivaldi, “Toy Symphony” by Haydn, and “Hallelujah Chorus” from “Messiah” by Handel, and more.

Tickets, available in advance or at the door, cost $18 for adults, $15 for seniors (age 62 and older), and $7 for students (with valid school ID) and children younger than 12.

Masks must be worn properly, over the nose and mouth, by all attendees for the duration of their time in the NIU Music Building.
