350Kishwaukee to meet April 19

The next meeting of 350Kishwaukee will be held virtually at 7 p.m. Monday, April 19.

The group will discuss the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory that has been compiled for the City of DeKalb.

The group will then decide whether to ask the DeKalb Citizen’s Environment Board to recommend that the new mayor sign the Climate Emergency Declaration. This document indicates that the city is in support of taking actions to mitigate the climate crisis.

The meeting will end with a discussion of electric vehicles.

350Kishwaukee is a group of local people who are concerned about climate crisis. Monthly meetings are held to learn about actions people, cities, states and federal governments can take to keep the climate from worsening.

Meetings are held on Zoom or by phone. They are free and open to the public.
