Campbell Airport in Grayslake up for sale

Total property consists of 246 acres; asking price is $8 million

CHICAGO – Real estate brokerage Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago announced Campbell Airport in Grayslake is for sale.

Occupying 50 acres for active airport use, the property consists of 246 acres including wetlands 40 miles north of downtown Chicago.

Listed for $8 million, Campbell Airport is a private/public airport operating since 1964.

The property is home base to 51 aviators housing single-engine and multiple-engine aircraft in seven hangars with potential for additional rentable revenue-producing hangars.

Yolanda Deen and Rich Aronson are exclusive sales and marketing agents for the property.

“Rich and I are delighted to represent the sale of Campbell Airport,” Deen said. “The property has enormous potential. It could be a destination airport, home to a flight school for new aviators with a training center and flight simulators. It could even be a land development. In terms of possibilities, the sky’s really the limit.”
