Library Board approves real estate contract for Grand Avenue building

Former Lake Villa library building purchased by Grace Community Bible Church

LINDENHURST – The Lake Villa District Library Board of Trustees approved the contract for the former library building at 1001 E. Grand Ave. in Lake Villa after an open bid process.

Grace Community Bible Church of Grayslake purchased the property for $1.25 million with a closing date of Sept. 30.

“Selling the former library building was always a part of our plan,” library Director Mikael Jacobsen said in a news release. “We are pleased to sell the building and wish Pastor Mike Bryant and his congregation all the best.”
