Lake Villa District Library expands hours

Visits to be limited to 1 hour; programs and storytimes remain virtual

LINDENHURST -- Beginning Monday, Feb. 15, Lake Villa District Library will expand hours to 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Visits are limited to one hour per person, per day, and all library safety mitigations will remain in place. Public computers and Notary Service will be available.

“We are happy to be expanding hours,” Library Director Mikael Jacobsen said in a news release. “Seeing our patrons safely and in person is wonderful!”

Study rooms and public seating areas will remain closed. Library programs, book discussions and storytimes will continue to be held virtually.

“We also understand that there are some who aren’t ready to visit the library just yet,” Jacobsen said. “And for those people, curbside pickup and our newest service, LVDL Delivers are great options.”
