Letter: Thanks for recycling

To the Editor:

This is in response to the Jan. 13 Ledger article “Plastic foam recycling event meets growing demand”. Many thanks to all who brought Styrofoam®/polystyrene foam to the Jan. 8 recycling event.

And many thanks to David Petesch and Shaw Media’s coverage of this event. As noted in the article, a key objective of the event, and the handout that the 75 vehicles received, is to increase the awareness that we here in the vicinity of North Aurora are fortunate to have a 24/7 polystyrene foam recycle center at Dart Container Corporation, 310 Evergreen Drive, North Aurora. Indeed, there is increasing demand for an alternative to putting polystyrene foam into the landfill.
