Kendall County Sheriff’s Office mourns death of long-time auxiliary deputy

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the death of long-time Auxiliary Deputy Patricia Anderson.

Anderson, 68, died Jan. 17.

In a statement, the sheriff’s office said Anderson joined the sheriff’s office as an auxiliary deputy in October of 2007 and served the citizens of Kendall County along with her husband Richard Anderson.

Anderson was also a bailiff at the Kendall County Courthouse in Yorkville and enjoyed motorcycle riding and line dancing.

The Andersons have been very active in Sheriff’s Office activities throughout Kendall County over their many years of service, the sheriff’s office said.

In honor of Anderson, deputies have been authorized to wear mourning bands in her honor.

Visitation for Anderson will be held on Sunday, Jan. 23, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry Street, Sandwich.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 24 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano. Online condolences may be made at https://www.beveragefamilyfh.com/obituary/patricia-anderson

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
