Yorkville School Board accepts resignations from two coaches

The Yorkville School District 115 Board of Education accepted resignations from two high school athletics coaches during a meeting Monday, June 28.

James Higgins, head freshman baseball coach, resigned effective the end of this school year. Tori Gatlin, an assistant track and field coach at the high school, also resigned.

The school board signed off on five co-curricular hires Monday night. They include Paige Mishevich and David Franz as assistant coaches for the high school girls’ volleyball team, Michael Marek as an assistant high school football coach, Matt Rodewald as head sophomore boys’ basketball coach and Timothy McKenna as an e-sports club sponsor.
