Yorkville is set to close Mill Road on the city’s northeast side starting Thursday, June 24 for a widening project.
Improvements to Mill Road will include widening, realignment and installation of a shared use path and storm drainage improvement, the city said in a press release.
The roadway will be closed from Kennedy Road to Allegiance Crossing, just east of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway tracks. A detour route will use Kennedy Road, Galena Road and Orchard Road.
Construction is expected to last through mid-November.
