Oswego woman loses $16,000 in Bitcoin phone scam

A 77 year-old Oswego woman told village police Jan. 26 she was the victim of a Bitcoin scam.

In a statement, police said the scam was instigated by someone who called the woman and told her he was an employee of an electronics/computer store.

The woman told police that $16,000 was stolen in the transaction.
