Oswego police have ticketed a Montgomery man in connection with a hit and run crash that occurred in the village early last month.

In a statement, police said they have cited Carlos A. Gorrola Castillo, 36, of the 7700 block of Montgomery Road, with failure to reduce speed, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a valid license.

The citations are the result of a two vehicle crash that occurred at 7:09 p.m. Dec. 7 on Wolf’s Crossing Road at Route 30 in which a vehicle fled the scene.

No one was injured in the crash, according to police.

Through an investigation, police identified Gorrola Castillo as the driver of a van that was involved in the crash that fled the scene. Police cited him for the traffic violations Jan. 5.

Police said Gorrola Castillo posted bond at the police station and was released pending a Feb. 7 court appearance.
